Meet our artists

At The Morning Elixir, we see ourselves as travellers on a journey of discovery; wandering far and wide to find artists who have overcome disability, displacement, or personal adversity. Like intrepid explorers mapping new terrain, we listen to their stories of resilience and transformation, and bring their vibrant artwork back to share with you.

Guided by our love of specialty coffee, we traverse continents and cultures, transforming these artists’ visions into the designs that adorn your favorite coffee pouch. With every purchase of our coffee, 10% of the profit goes to the artist that designed the artwork. We are proud to present below our artists' biographies as well as links to their personal artwork portfolios.

Enas Barakat

Enas Barakat is our artist for "Caesar's Rubicon Roast". Enas is a mixed-media artist whose textured, nature-inspired paintings create peaceful, inviting scenes that celebrate harmony and charm. A graduate in art from Alexandria, Egypt, with further training in interior design in the UK, Enas blends clay paste, acrylics and other materials to give her work unique depth and vibrancy.

Kal Naeem

Kal Naeem is our artist for "Merlin's Celestial Blend", a self-taught graphic designer, working since 1997, with a long-standing passion for photography that began in 2007. In 2008, they started creating digital art by combining photography with graphic design using Photoshop, a practice that has continued to evolve over the years and their work has even been exhibited at the National Art Gallery in the Maldives. Drawing from the real world, they take fragments of photographs and visual details and rework them into fantastical imagery, crafting surreal worlds and creatures that sit somewhere between reality and imagination, with a particular focus on fantasy themes and mythical forms.

Olha Zhydetska

Olha Zhydetska is a Ukrainian artist and community organiser originally from Kyiv. Before the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Olha worked as a TV journalist, covering international and cultural events. She came to the UK as a refugee with her daughters and mother, and now lives in Haworth, West Yorkshire.

Art - especially traditional Ukrainian painting has always been her passion and became a way to cope with the trauma of forced displacement. Olha specialises in Petrykivka art, a vibrant folk painting style that originated in the 18th century in central Ukraine. Recognised by UNESCO as part of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity, Petrykivka is known for its delicate floral patterns and deep symbolism. In Keighley, Olha founded the community project Making Bridges, which brings together Ukrainian craftswomen and artists, promoting cultural exchange and connection through traditional arts. The project aims to build understanding and unity between local communities through creativity, heritage, and shared experiences.
